Marlon Rigaud

Marlon Rigaud, founder of “why not dance?” began his career as an athlete and artist. He began dancing in the 1970’s as a New York Hustle street dancer. He trained in both Smooth and Latin dances before finding the right fit in the Tango dance arena. His inspiration came in 1985 when introduced to Tango and sought the esteemed professionals of what was at the time the hottest ticket on Broadway, “Tango Argentino.” He worked with them and many other Argentine masters over the years to develop a Tango teaching style that would instruct others in the style of Argentine Tango commonly found in the salons and in the theaters of Buenos Aires.
